You know, it's funny - I never really planned to be a writer. Writing books was never a dream of mine.
But here I am today, seven books deep into this journey...
In the summer of 2017, I was camping near the mountains in Cloudcroft, New Mexico, just enjoying the beauty around me.
It was a lazy Sunday, and I found myself journaling.
And then, something happened - in my heart, I could hear God telling me to write a book. At that point, I had already been selling my artwork for about seven or eight months.
What God showed me is He wanted me to share my story, and so I asked Him for guidance. I said, "God, if You want me to write this book, then You need to tell me what to put in it." So of course, I grabbed my journal and pen. After three hours, I had not one, not two, but twelve chapters for my book - "Small Beginnings."
So I am telling you all of this because I want to remind you...
If God has told you to do something... He will provide the way. He will give you the tools.
Looking back, I realize just how faithful God was during those small beginnings. He guided me every step of the way.
He opened doors for me that I never would have had the courage to open on my own.
I'm so glad He called me to write this book because it has been a huge blessing in my life, and I hope that its message reaches you too - if God is calling you to something, don't be afraid. Take the leap of faith!
He will be with you every step of the way.
My prayer for you is this: as you embark on your own small beginnings, be brave and courageous.
He will bless your beautiful story. So embrace the adventure and never forget to enjoy the ride. God is faithful!
